Hi, long time no see. Just catching up after a year. Hope you don’t mind. Your blog is like my life in Sydney by proxy. Sydney’s changed so much.
Now, about Din Tai Fung. I read about it in the SMH online and came across it in KL.
Not really the best dumplings I’ve had. I remember this tiny place at the Prince Centre in Chinatown being much better. Is it still there? Servings were huge and a whole meal of potstickers (12pcs) two plates loaded with noodles, a jelly fish salad and a omplimentary soup came to under A$20. That’s if my memory serves me right. I was a poor student back then and paying more than A$20 for two was an occasion. We managed to eat there about twice every week at one stage.
Anyway, the KL version of DTF disappointed and I’m not going back.

whoops. i just realised your entry didn’t end after the first photo haha. i can imagine how nice “Everytime” was! love the pyrotechnics which remind you of the “Circus” video.

you know what, your overall review of the concert really mirrors how me and Weetz felt when we watched Madonna in London! especially with regards to the “i have to be here because i have to be here” vibe.

Wah lao, I was reading all the reports about the controversy she caused in Australia with her lip-synching. In my mind I was like thinking “if you guys don’t want her there, we want her here!”

you had a SPARE DIAMOND TIX!! omg and wat was i doing on 25th nov tues? geee i can’t even rem, whatever it was it can’t compare to brit’s presence (albeit 200m away) looks very far away for 2nd best seats… glad you got to catc hher at a great price!

yeah i’m still waiting for her to come out of whatever she’s in. meanwhile, her tunes are still catchy though trashy. ie. music i wouldn’t want my kids to listen to.

Good news! The prof who lashed out at us during the lecture was not talking about my essay (All of us were worried she was referring to our essays)…she likes what I’ve written, but her big gripe lies with the structure of my essay. Once I correct that, she will write the recommendation…

Well, working on another essay now. Tentatively titled “Theatricality and Time in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’”. A real page-turner, I can tell you that.
