Hong Kong Honeymoon?

August 27, 2009

We keep getting asked where we were going/went for our honeymoon… and we always reply, “what’s a honeymoon?” I guess if you define honeymoon as a holiday you take right after the wedding, then Hong Kong would be it for us, although I do wish I could reply with a more romantic location!

We booked the air tickets to HK rather spontaneously before going back to Singapore for the wedding, because we figured we should take a short little side-trip holiday to the land of endless shopping and eating! But we actually had thoughts of foregoing the tickets after the wedding, because we wanted so much to spend more time in Singapore with friends and family. After coming back from HK, we would only have 2 days left at home… :(

Well, the tickets were bought and we figured we REALLY needed a good break after what was a massive event production… but the trip in HK ended up exhausting us even further!

Hong Kong Madness!

Actually, it should be the other way around.

Husband away, a new bag a day.

Anyway, only because I know he wants me to post it up, here’s what he bought to TRY and keep me happy:

And other Nippon goodies…

La Petit Creme

August 23, 2009

After a whole year, we FINALLY made our way to La Petit Creme in Darlinghurst!

I’ve read about the place and Joy recommended the eatery to us a looong time ago. We (or more accurately, I) have been planning to go there for the longest time, but getting there has been a pain. If we drive, it’d take about 10 mins. Unfortunately, we don’t. So we are left with the following options:

Sydney’s riculous transport options

We hired two wonderful photographers and we’re absolutely thrilled with what we’ve seen so far! A lot of you have been asking to see the photos, but unfortunately because we’re overseas we’ve actually told them to take their time, so we haven’t seen a lot of them ourselves! But here’s a couple of our favourites taken from the wedding slideshow to share :)

A Week Before…

August 21, 2009

Actually, 2 weeks before the wedding.

The day before we flew back from Sydney, the soon-to-be-husband fell sick. First with mild cough, and then fever, and then flu… and… all the signs of H1N1. Our first thoughts were of course:

QUARANTINE HOW?!?

Art Attack!

August 14, 2009

I have to say, just one weekend in Melbourne and I was feeling all artsy-fartsy and creative already! It’s really amazing what the city does to you. Plus, it helps having an artist friend show you around :)

It was so much easier to notice the details of the city, keeping your eyes peeled for art around the corner and appreciating the artists at work.

Rather inspired by all the creativity!

The night before…

August 12, 2009

The lead up to the wedding was sheer panic. Not just for me, but the entire wedding party.

The panic lead up

Was feeling restless and suffocated in Sydney by the end of last week and decided on a spontaneous trip to Melbourne over the weekend. In fact, I bought the plane ticket only 3 hours before the flight itself. It also happened to be a one-way ticket… yes, I was quite possibly considering moving to Melbourne indefinitely!

Moving to Melbourne! Warning – Image heavy!

AWESOME.

Edit: Spontaneously going to Melbourne for the weekend cos Sydney is driving me up the wall.
